CECABASE® 3860 is added to the bitumen to improve its emulsification.

Use:

Dosage: 1 to 2 kg/T in the bitumen, in the storage tank or on line

Scope of use:

• all applications
• with bitumen that is difficult to emulsify
• with SBS or EVA polymer modified bitumen

CECABASE® 3860 will help you reduce the median diameter while you manufacture your emulsion, and hence improve stability during storage.

Given its alkaline nature, we would advise you to prepare the aqueous phase with a pH of around 1.8 in order to prevent the emulsion pH from rising excessively.
