The narrow particle size ranges mean that very fine activated diatomite is available, with a high absorbant capacity, which is particularly suitable for paint formulations in aqueous or in solvent phase (Pliolite). In addition to its dispersant capacity, diatomite imparts an unrivalled mattifying effect to paint. Its excellent porosity makes it highly permeable to water vapour, and extends the life of outdoor paint.
