Polyurethane can be manufactured either in a single-component system or in a two-component system. In both cases, any water still present may react with the isocyanate forming carbon dioxyde gas and lead to the formation of bubbles in the final compound.
Special SILIPORITE® Molecular Sieve can also be used to extend the pot life of the formulation by avoiding catalyst effect.

CECA, a subsidiary of ARKEMA, introduces a moisture proof quadriplex bag, containing 20 kgs, on the market, especially dedicated for polyurethane formulators.
This type of packaging represents the latest step in our search to match the requirements of our customers. With this evolution, the use of small bags containing SILIPORITE® Molecular Sieve products in powder form for moisture scavenging, enables the formulators to reduce their storage area, 6 bags per layer, 10 layer pallets, 1200 kgs per pallet. We have concentrated our efforts to provide bags with outstanding protective functions to preserve the top quality desiccant properties of SILIPORITE®.
Our SILIPORITE® range of products, for this application is one of the most efficient available on the market. We have tested the moisture proof properties of the bags during several months and its easy to use packaging is now available on the market.
