Hundreds of Refineries All Over the World Use Our Special SILIPORITE® Grades




CECA offers a complete range of solutions, combining different types of adsorbents such as Molecular Sieves and activated aluminas suitable for the variety of processes and technologies encountered in the refining world.
 
CECA SILIPORITE® Molecular Sieves treat refinery streams in both the gaseous and liquid state.


 

Reforming units : Chloride removal, CCR

 

CECA Molecular Sieves and activated alumina are widely used in these applications :

  • Reforming processes : HCl removal from H2, CCR naphta streams, CCR  overhead streams,
  • Removal of H2O, HCl, H2S from cyclic reformer hydrogen recycle streams,
  • Removal of water and HCl from semi-regenerative reformer H2 recycle  streams.

 

Alkylation units


CECA Molecular Sieves and activated alumina are widely used in these applications :

  • HF and H2SO4 alkylation feed drying and purification
  • Downstream Alkylation : HF removal from C3, C4
  • Platinum catalyst protection from poisons in the feedstock

 

Isomerization units

 

CECA Molecular Sieves SILIPORITE® are widely used in the following applications. CECA has developed special types of Molecular Sieves C5/C6 with Pt/Chlorinated Alumina type catalyst:

  • for water and contaminant removal from C5/C6 feedstock,
  • for the recovery of non converted normal C5/C6 that are then recycled.

For C5/C6 with zeolite type catalysts, the separation is achieved with a special SILIPORITE® Molecular Sieves adsorption in the gas phase.

 

MTBE/ETBE

 

In the MTBE/ETBE production process, the streams have to dried and purified. CECA Molecular Sieves and activated alumina are widely used in these applications.

 

In order to protect the catalyst, CECA has developed performing Molecular Sieves and activated alumina for the removal of:

  • water,
  • methanol,
  • oxygenates,
  • sulfur compounds,
  • arsenic compounds.
     
    LPG production

 

CECA Molecular Sieves are widely used in these applications :

  • Simultaneous drying and removal of H2S,
  • mercaptans,
  • sulfides,
  • di-sulfides from propene, butane or mix-LPG streams.
     
    Cryogenic separation processes

 

CECA Molecular Sieves are widely used to protect downstream cryogenic equipment. 

 

  • hydrocarbons drying upstream cold box,
  • propylene-propene drying upstream separation.
