An alternative to replace formaldehyde...

Leather is a durable and flexible material created via the tanning of animal rawhide and skin. It can be produced by different processes: vegetable-tanned leather, chromium-tanned leather, aldehyde-tanned leather among others.

THPS is gaining ground in this specific leather treatment market.

In the finishing stages of leather processing, THPS has been regarded for a number of years as an environmentally sound solution to replace formaldehyde, used in the aldehyde tanning process and carrying the image of a polluting compound.

The main asset of the THPS molecule is its biodegradability, its low odour and its ecological image.

Other applications: Flame retardant, Biocides, Paper pulp industry
