Innovation in Offshore Oil production: CECA launches a range of " special deep offshore " 2-in-1 additives

CECA, a subsidiary of the Arkema Group, is launching on the market a range of innovative additives with " 2 in 1 " multifunctional formulations to meet the specific needs of the oil companies' " deep offshore " activities.
Developed from the Centre de Recherche Rhône Alpes (CRRA) research activities, the additives marketed under the tradename Norust® 5000 combine anti-corrosion and anti-scale properties. Norust® 5000 fulfils the stringent " deep offshore " specifications of the major oil companies.
" Combining both these properties within a 2-in-1 product was a tough technical challenge bearing in mind the seemingly antinomic physico-chemical characteristics of the two functions we were aiming for. The tests carried out to meet the specifications of our customers operating in West Africa are highly encouraging " explains Yves MOTTOT, Manager for this product line at CECA.
Produced at CECA's Feuchy plant (France), this range of " 2-in-1 " additives eases the storage and application logistics of these additives on sea structures, i.e. platforms and especially floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) units.
