Accompanied by their physics / chemistry teachers, 37 grade 1 S students from the Pont Audemer Lycée were given the opportunity at the end of April to find out how a local chemical plant operates.
Their 4-hour visit included:
-
" Industrial " chemistry, with a tour of the molecular sieve production plants and laboratory,
-
a discovery of the professional fields, job functions and related skills during dedicated exchanges with 7 CECA Honfleur employees. The discussions covered their career path, their profile, and the job they are currently performing.
" The outcome of the visit was positive for most students " reports Jean Marc Pischon, Administration Manager for the Honfleur site. " It has enabled them to see the practical side of what they have learned at school, and maybe, hopefully, to discover a leaning for chemistry. "
